Bulls are clearly in control, helped by optimism around the Fed\u2019s recent rate cut and hopes that more easing is on the horizon.<\/p>\n<p>But here\u2019s the catch: when markets are this stretched, it doesn\u2019t take much to rattle confidence. The rally is running hot, and with plenty of Fed talk and key data this week, traders are wondering whether we push higher or see a bit of profit-taking creep in.<\/p>\n<p><strong>The Fed Factor<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>After cutting rates earlier this month, the Fed now has the market convinced it\u2019s in easing mode. This week\u2019s line-up of Fed speakers will test that assumption. If the message is that more cuts are possible, the rally could stay alive. But if officials hint that last time was a one-off, equities could quickly give back some ground.<br \/>\nRemember markets aren\u2019t just trading on what the Fed does, but on what it says. Tone is everything right now.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Data Watch<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>On the economic front, we\u2019ve got PMI readings, jobless claims, and US PCE lined up. Traders want to see signs of a \u201csoft landing\u201d: slower growth, inflation under control, but no hard downturn. Stronger data might work against risk assets by keeping the Fed cautious, while weaker numbers could add fuel to the easing story.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Commodities &amp; FX<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Oil remains volatile, with prices whipsawed by demand concerns and supply chatter. Gold is skyrocketing hitting new all-time highs, supported by a softer dollar backdrop. If Fed commentary leans dovish this week, gold could see another leg higher, while a hawkish pushback risks sending it back toward recent support.<\/p>\n<p>The dollar itself remains the swing factor in FX.
